When leaving the house, Muslims often recite the following dua to seek Allah’s protection and guidance:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْـتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُـوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ
Transliteration: Bismil-lah, tawakkaltu AAalal-lah, wala hawla wala quwwata illa billah.
Translation: “In the Name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.”[2][4][5
Reciting this dua is believed to provide guidance, defense, and protection from Allah, and it is said that the devil will go far away from the person who recites it[2][5].
