Dua for Knowledge and Understanding

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Transliteration: Rabbi zidnee ‘ilman
Translation: “O my Lord, increase me in knowledge!”[1][4][5]

Dua for Confidence, Ease, and Clarity

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
Transliteration: Rabbi ishrah li sadri wa yassir li amri, wahlul ‘uqdatam min lisaani yafqahu qawli
Translation: “O my Lord, expand my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness), ease my task for me, and remove the impediment from my speech so that they may understand what I say.”[2][4]

Dua for Ease in Difficult Tasks

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
Transliteration: Allaahumma laa sahla illaa maa ja’altahu sahlan wa anta taj’alul-hazna ithaa shi’ta sahlan
Translation: “O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You are the One who can make the difficult easy if You wish.”[4]

Dua After Revision

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ مَا قَرَأْتُ وَمَا حَفِظْتُ وَمَا تَعَلَّمْتُ فَرُدْهُ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِي إِلَيْهِ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنْتَ حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Transliteration: Allahhumma inni astaodeeuka ma qaratu wama hafaz-tu wama ta’alamtu. Faradduhu ‘inda hagati elayhi. Innaka ala kuli shayin qadeer wa anta hasbuna Allaha wa namal wakeel.
Translation: “Oh Allah I entrust You with what I have read and what I have memorized and I have studied. (Oh Allah!) Bring it back to me when I am in need of it. (Oh Allah!) You are able to do anything, and You are my Availer and Protector and the best of aid.”[4]

Dua When Entering the Exam Hall

رَبْ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَانًا نَصِيرًا
Transliteration: Rab adkhilni madkhal sidqin wa akhrijni mukhraj sidqin, waj’al li min ladunka sultanan nasira.
Translation: “O Allah, grant me an entry with truthful intentions and an exit with truthful intentions, and grant me power from you that gives me success.”[4]

Dua on the Day of the Exam

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَيْكَ وَسَلَّمْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ
Transliteration: Allahumma inni tawakkaltu ‘alayka wa sallamtu amri ilayka, la malja wa la manja minka illa ilayka.
Translation: “O Allah, I have relied on you, and I have submitted my matters to you. There is no protection or saving from you except by returning to you.”[4]
