Dua for Eating ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ “Mindful Nourishment: The Blessed Words Before Meals”

Here are the duas that Muslims recite before and after eating, as guided by Islamic teachings and hadiths:

Dua Before Eating

The most common and recommended dua to recite before eating is:

ุจูุณู’ู…ู ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู
Bismillah
In the name of Allah

This dua is prescribed by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and is mentioned in several hadiths.

If you forget to recite “Bismillah” at the beginning of your meal, you can say:

ุจูุณู’ู…ู ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุฃูŽูˆูŽู‘ู„ูู‡ู ูˆูŽุขุฎูุฑูู‡ู

Alhamdulillah alladhee at’amana wa saqana, waja’alana muslimin.
All praise is due to Allah, who has given us food and drink and made us Muslims.

Dua Acknowledging Allah’s Provision

Dua Seeking Blessings and Better Provision

ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ูู…ูŽู‘ ุจูŽุงุฑููƒู’ ู„ูŽู†ูŽุง ูููŠู‡ู ูˆูŽุฃูŽุทู’ุนูู…ู’ู†ูŽุง ุฎูŽูŠู’ุฑู‹ุง ู…ูู†ู’ู‡ู
Allahumma barik lana fihi wa at’imna khayran minh.
O Allah, bless us in it and provide us with better than it.
